AC Milan midfielder Youssouf Fofana is attracting interest from three clubs, with Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest and Villarreal reportedly submitting offers for the France international.

According to Foot Mercato, the three clubs have approached Milan as they explore the possibility of signing the 27-year-old midfielder during the current transfer window.

Real Betis and Ipswich Town are also understood to be monitoring Fofana’s situation.

Milan open to Fofana departure

Milan are reportedly willing to consider selling Fofana as the Italian club look to raise funds after missing out on Champions League football.

The Rossoneri are believed to value the midfielder at between €18m and €20m, a figure that could be enough to convince the club to sanction his departure.

Fofana joined Milan from Monaco in the summer of 2024 for €26m and quickly established himself as an important member of the squad.

The midfielder made 52 appearances during his first season at San Siro after arriving from Monaco.

He remained an important part of Milan’s plans in his second campaign, featuring in another 36 matches, including 29 starts.

Fofana began his professional career with Strasbourg before moving to Monaco, where his performances earned him a move to Italy and eventually international recognition with France.

With interest now coming from both the Premier League and Spain, Milan could face a decision over whether to retain an established midfielder or accept an offer in the €18m-€20m range.

For Fofana, the approaches from Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest and Villarreal could provide an opportunity for a new challenge after two seasons at San Siro.
