AC Milan monitoring as Chelsea open to selling Senegal striker Nicolas Jackson

Senegal international Nicolas Jackson sits out training ahead of Chelsea’s Club World Cup decider

AC Milan have been put on high alert following reports that Chelsea are willing to part ways with striker Nicolas Jackson in the current transfer window.

The 24-year-old Senegal international could be heading for the exit door, just a year after joining the Blues from Villarreal.

Chelsea’s stance has reportedly shifted due to the emergence of summer signings Liam Delap and Joao Pedro, who have impressed during the ongoing FIFA Club World Cup.

Their performances have fuelled internal belief that Jackson may no longer be central to the club’s plans heading into the 2025/26 season.

Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano revealed the development via his YouTube channel, saying: “Be attentive to Nico Jackson’s situation at Chelsea. Because I’m hearing there is a possibility between Jackson and Chelsea to part ways this summer.”

AC Milan are understood to be monitoring the situation closely, with initial indications suggesting that Jackson himself is open to a move to San Siro.

The Italian giants are keen to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new Serie A campaign and see Jackson as a potential long-term fit.

Jackson featured heavily for Chelsea last season, making 37 appearances across all competitions. He finished the campaign with 13 goals and six assists — a respectable return in a turbulent period for the club.

However, questions around his consistency and Chelsea’s shifting tactical direction may have contributed to the club’s willingness to entertain offers.
