Aboutrika jokes about ‘Al Ahly signing’ live on beIN Sports

Mohamed Aboutrika surprised beIN Sports presenter Abdulaziz Al-Nasr with an Al Ahly shirt during the live analysis of Arsenal’s match against Brighton.

The former Al Ahly and Egypt star was part of the broadcaster’s studio coverage when he presented Al-Nasr with the club’s new-season shirt. The jersey featured the presenter’s name and the number 22, which was closely associated with Aboutrika during his years with Al Ahly.

Al-Nasr appeared pleased by the gesture, before Aboutrika added a humorous twist by joking about a possible move to the Egyptian club.

“Inshallah, you will be a useful signing for Al Ahly manager Hussein Ammouta,” Aboutrika told him.

The comment referred playfully to the presenter’s imagined transfer to Al Ahly and brought a light-hearted moment to the studio during the coverage.

The gesture came as part of the analysis of the Premier League meeting between Brighton and Arsenal, which was played in the fifth round of the competition.

The hosts won the match 3-0.
