Aboubacar Camara: Guinea-France defender joins KACM Marrakech on free transfer

Guinea-France centre-back Aboubacar Camara has joined KACM Marrakech from Romanian club Metaloglobus on a free transfer, giving the Botola Pro Inwi side a new defensive option at the start of the 2026-27 season.

The 25-year-old completed the move on 9 September 2026 after leaving Metaloglobus, where he had spent the second half of the 2025-26 campaign. Camara initially joined the Romanian club on loan from FC U Craiova in July 2025 before making the move after the loan spell ended.

Camara’s arrival in Marrakech comes after a period in which he moved between clubs in Romania and Croatia. He joined FC U Craiova from Croatian side NK Rudes on a free transfer in September 2024, having previously played for French club FC 93 Bobigny.

The defender began his senior career with AJ Auxerre B after progressing from the club’s under-19 side. He later moved to FC 93 Bobigny in July 2021, before switching to NK Rudes two years later.

Camara has recorded 48 appearances and two goals in National 1 Group B. He has also appeared in Romania’s Liga 2, Croatia’s SuperSport HNL, the Romanian Cup, the Croatian Cup and the Coupe de France during his career.

A right-footed defender standing 1.90m tall, Camara holds Guinean and French nationality and was born in Montfermeil, France, on 5 January 2001. His listed market value is €250,000, although KACM have secured his services without a transfer fee.

The move takes Camara from Romania’s Liga 2 to Morocco’s top flight, with KACM Marrakech now the latest club in a career that has included spells in France, Croatia and Romania.

Camara completed his free transfer to KACM Marrakech on 9 September 2026.
