Aboubacar Bachir Bangoura: Guinea winger linked with Young Africans move from Al-Merrikh SC
Guinean winger Aboubacar Bachir Bangoura of Al-Merrikh SC is being linked with a move to Tanzanian giants Young Africans, with the 20-year-old reportedly attracting interest despite being under a long-term contract in Sudan.
Bangoura, a left-sided attacker who wears the No 10 shirt at Al-Merrikh, is tied to the club until 30 June 2029, meaning any deal would require Young Africans to negotiate a transfer fee rather than target a free move. He is currently valued at around 75,000, a figure that provides a reference point for talks as the Dar es Salaam club consider whether to formalise their interest.
The Guinea youths form in continental competition has brought him to wider attention. Since joining Al-Merrikh on 30 August 2025 from Milo FC, he has appeared in the CAF Champions League, featuring in four matches and accumulating 300 minutes of game time. Those outings have given scouts from across the region a closer look at his ability to operate off the left flank at senior level.
Young Africans are monitoring options to strengthen their attacking line, and Bangouras profile as a left winger with recent exposure to Champions League football has placed him on their radar. Discussions have not yet progressed to an advanced stage, but his lengthy contract in Omdurman and current valuation mean Al-Merrikh are in a strong position as they consider any approach for one of their attacking assets.
