Ablaye Faye: Senegalese-Italian winger joins Tortoli on free transfer from Budduso

Senegalese-Italian winger Ablaye Faye has joined Tortoli on a free transfer from Budduso, signing a deal with the Italian club until 30 June 2027.

The 22-year-old right-sided attacker, who was born in Dakar and stands at 1.90m, switches clubs after one season with Budduso. His arrival adds height and a direct wide option to Tortoli’s attack as they shape their squad for the new campaign.

Faye, who prefers to operate on the right wing and plays predominantly with his right foot, has built up experience in Italian lower-league football and youth competitions. Across his senior and youth outings, he has collected appearances in Serie D, Primavera 2 and domestic cup competitions, giving him a grounding in both development and first-team environments.

Before joining Budduso, Faye spent time with San Luca and Latte Dolce, having earlier made the move back to Italy following a spell with FA Euro New York. His pathway also includes a period in the Pordenone youth set-up after starting out at Cjarlins Giovani, reflecting a career that has already taken him through several different football cultures.

His most substantial run of games came in Serie D Group G, where he clocked up 24 appearances and two goals, alongside further minutes in the Coppa Serie D and youth cup competitions. That experience underpins Tortoli’s decision to secure him on a multi-year contract.

Faye’s free transfer from Budduso to Tortoli is effective immediately, with his contract running through to the end of the 2026-27 season.
