Aberdeen complete signing of Moroccan striker Ayoub Mouloua from FUS Rabat
Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen have officially confirmed the signing of Moroccan forward Ayoub Mouloua from FUS Rabat ahead of the new season.
The 23-year-old striker has penned a long-term contract with the club, committing his future until 2029, with Aberdeen also holding an option to extend the deal by a further year.
Mouloua arrives in Scotland after a promising campaign in the Moroccan top flight, where he registered six goals in 21 league appearances for FUS Rabat, attracting attention from European scouts with his performances.
His consistent displays, movement in the final third, and finishing ability made him one of the standout attacking players at his club, eventually earning him a move to the Scottish Premiership.
Aberdeen head coach Stephen Robinson revealed that the club had been monitoring the Moroccan forward for an extended period before finalising the transfer.
“We have been tracking Ayoub for several months now and have made a number of trips to Morocco to watch him play and get a real feel for the type of player and person he is,” Robinson told the club’s media.
The manager’s comments highlight Aberdeen’s detailed recruitment approach, with the club placing strong emphasis on scouting and character assessment before completing signings.
Mouloua is expected to provide additional attacking depth as Aberdeen prepare for the upcoming campaign, with the club aiming to strengthen their squad and compete at a higher level in the Scottish Premiership.
The Moroccan forward will now look to adapt quickly to Scottish football as he begins a new chapter in his career in Europe.
