Abdul Jaleel Ajagun, who was eliminated from the CAN U20 by Egypt on Tuesday, is considering a potential move to North Africa. The young Nigerian striker, who plays for the Flying Eagles, is a target for Egyptian club Al Ahly. Ajagun confirmed that negotiations have begun with the Cairo-based team regarding a possible signing.
“A club official, Magdi Tolba, chatted with me and asked me if I wanted to play for Al Ahly. I said yes. For the moment, I have not signed a contract, but we are waiting to see what we can do with them,” Ajagun revealed.
While discussions with Al Ahly are ongoing, Ajagun will remain focused on the upcoming 3rd-place match in the CAN U20 against Mali. Despite falling in the semi-final against Ghana, Ajagun’s attention is now on helping his team secure a positive outcome in the remaining matches of the tournament.
