Abdourahmane Barry: Guinea defender joins FC Versailles from Paris 13 Atletico
Guinea-born defender Abdourahmane Barry has joined FC Versailles from Paris 13 Atletico, strengthening the Ligue 3 side’s options at centre-back. The 26-year-old has signed a contract with the Versailles club running until 30 June 2028.
Barry, who also holds French nationality and was born in Courbevoie, arrives after a season with Paris 13 Atletico, where he featured in the French third tier. His move keeps him in the same division but brings him to a club aiming to consolidate and progress with an experienced central defender in its back line.
Standing at 1.85m and predominantly right-footed, Barry has built up significant experience across France and Germany. Before joining Paris 13 Atletico in 2025, he spent two seasons with Amiens SC following a switch from Greuther Furth, where he had previously moved after leaving FC Liefering in Austria.
Barry’s career includes competitive minutes in the Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga with Greuther Furth, as well as game time in Ligue 2 and Ligue 3 in France. Across these leagues and domestic cup competitions, he has passed the 60-appearance mark, underlining the depth of his professional experience at senior level.
The defender’s market value is currently assessed at around €200,000, and he becomes one of Versailles’ notable additions ahead of the new campaign as the club finalises its squad planning. Barry’s move from Paris 13 Atletico to FC Versailles is a permanent transfer.
