Racing Club de Strasbourg has reportedly secured the services of Senegalese full-back Abdou Aziz Ndiaye in a promising move for the club.
The 19-year-old, currently under contract with ASC Jaraaf of Dakar, is expected to sign a five-year deal with the Alsatian side, with the transfer becoming official on January 1, 2025.
Ndiaye’s move to Strasbourg follows a successful ten-day trial, where his performances impressed the club’s management.
French journalist Sacha Tavolieri of Foot Mercato confirmed that the two parties have reached an agreement, pending the completion of some administrative procedures.
The official signing is expected to take place shortly after the opening of the winter transfer window.
Born on November 18, 2005, Ndiaye’s footballing journey has been swift and impressive.
He began his career at US Gorée before making a mark with ASC Jaraaf, where his standout performances earned him a call-up to the Senegal national team in October 2024.
The young defender was brought in by coach Pape Thiaw to cover for the injured Ismail Jakobs during the AFCON 2025 qualifiers.
His inclusion in the national squad highlighted his rapid rise and solidified his reputation as a rising star for the Lions of Teranga.
Ndiaye’s versatility and promising talent have attracted interest from multiple clubs, both in Ligue 1 and Ligue 2.
Notably, Angers and Guingamp had expressed interest in signing him, with Guingamp even attempting to recruit him during the off-season.
However, it was Strasbourg that ultimately secured the highly coveted player, who is expected to provide both depth and youth to their squad.
With a natural ability to adapt and a maturity beyond his years, Ndiaye is widely regarded as one of the most promising young defenders in African football.
His move to Racing Club de Strasbourg is seen as a key step in what is expected to be a bright and successful career.
The long-term contract, which runs until 2030, underscores the club’s confidence in his potential, with Ndiaye poised to make a significant impact in the coming seasons.
