Morocco international Abdessamad Ezzalzouli has moved closer to a return to competitive football after rejoining full team training with Real Betis.

The 24-year-old winger completed Tuesday’s training session with his teammates as he continues his recovery from an injury sustained while representing Morocco.

His return provides a boost for Real Betis, with the Spanish club now assessing whether he will be ready to feature in Friday’s La Liga meeting with Real Sociedad.

Ezzalzouli could return against Real Sociedad

According to Mundo Deportivo, Ezzalzouli could be included in the Real Betis squad for the match, although his involvement will depend on his physical condition and the decision of the coaching staff.

The Moroccan completed the entire training session on Tuesday, marking a significant step in his recovery.

After spending time on the sidelines, the winger will now hope to receive the green light to return to competitive action.

Morocco injury ruled him out

Ezzalzouli suffered the injury during Morocco’s friendly against Norway, just one week before the start of the World Cup.

The setback kept him out of action for Real Betis and meant he has not played a single minute for the Spanish club since then.

His return to full training therefore represents welcome news for both the player and Betis as the club continues its campaign.

Betis set to regain attacking option

Ezzalzouli’s pace and creativity could give Real Betis another option in attack once he is cleared to play.

The Spanish side will now monitor the Moroccan’s condition before deciding whether to include him against Real Sociedad, with his return potentially providing an important boost to the team’s attacking options.
