Abdessamad Ezzalzouli at centre of European transfer interest

Moroccan international Abdessamad Ezzalzouli has emerged as one of the most sought-after players in Spain after an outstanding season for Real Betis, but the club have made it clear that any interested side must meet his full release clause to secure a transfer.

The winger’s performances throughout the campaign have placed him firmly on the radar of several leading European clubs. After contributing 15 goals and 13 assists, Ezzalzouli has established himself as one of the standout performers in Spanish football and a key figure in Betis’ attacking plans.

Interest in the 23-year-old has continued to grow in recent weeks, particularly from the Premier League, where Newcastle United and Aston Villa are reportedly among the clubs closely monitoring his situation.

Despite the increasing attention, Real Betis have adopted a firm position regarding the player’s future. According to journalist Mateo González of ABC de Sevilla, the Andalusian club will not enter negotiations for a reduced fee and expects any interested club to activate the winger’s €60 million release clause.

The Spanish side are also unwilling to consider structured payment plans, reinforcing their determination to maintain complete control over any potential transfer discussions.

Ezzalzouli remains under contract with Betis until June 2029, giving the club a strong position as speculation surrounding his future intensifies ahead of the summer transfer window.

Financial considerations also play a role in Betis’ stance. Barcelona, Ezzalzouli’s former club, are entitled to a percentage of any future profit generated from a transfer. Reports indicate that this share could range between 20 and 50 percent, providing an additional incentive for Betis to maximise the value of any deal.

On the pitch, the Moroccan winger has enjoyed the most productive season of his career. His consistency, creativity and attacking output have helped make him an essential part of Betis’ forward line, while his contributions have strengthened the club’s ambitions in domestic and European competition.

With interest continuing to build across Europe, Ezzalzouli’s future is expected to remain a major talking point throughout the transfer window.

For now, however, Real Betis have shown no sign of softening their position and remain committed to their valuation of one of their most valuable assets.
