Morocco winger Abdessamad Ezzalzouli on PSG shortlist as Luis Enrique eyes attacking reinforcements
Paris Saint-Germain are closely monitoring Real Betis winger Abdessamad Ezzalzouli ahead of the summer transfer window, with head coach Luis Enrique reportedly viewing the Morocco international as a strong option to strengthen the club’s attack.
The French champions have identified the 23-year-old as one of several players under consideration as they assess potential additions on the wings.
According to information obtained by Africasoccer, PSG’s interest in Ezzalzouli is linked to the future of Bradley Barcola, who continues to attract attention from Premier League clubs Liverpool and Arsenal.
The report states that Paris Saint-Germain would only consider Barcola’s departure if they receive an offer worth €140 million, the valuation they have placed on the French winger.
Should such a transfer materialise, PSG are expected to move for a replacement, with Ezzalzouli among the leading candidates being evaluated by the club’s recruitment team.
Luis Enrique is said to appreciate the Moroccan winger’s profile, particularly his pace, dribbling ability and effectiveness in one-on-one situations.
His capacity to create chances and influence matches in the final third has also reportedly impressed the PSG manager.
Despite the growing interest, discussions remain at an early stage.
No formal negotiations have taken place between Paris Saint-Germain and Real Betis, and the Ligue 1 club has not submitted an official offer for the player.
Instead, PSG are continuing to monitor Ezzalzouli while assessing their options before deciding how to approach the transfer market.
The Moroccan international has steadily built his reputation in Spanish football after beginning his development at the Mohammed VI Football Academy before moving to Spain.
He later represented Barcelona and spent time on loan at Osasuna before completing a move to Real Betis, where he has established himself as one of the club’s most influential attacking players.
During the 2025-26 season, Ezzalzouli scored nine goals and provided five assists in all competitions, performances that have attracted interest from several leading European clubs.
Although PSG’s interest has become increasingly apparent, the player’s future remains unresolved, with the French champions continuing to evaluate whether to make a formal move later in the summer transfer window.
