ABDESLAM OUADDOU: THE MOROCCAN WHO PUTS PRESSURE ON QATAR!

OUADDOU 432 300x232 1

Abdeslam Ouaddou, former footballer and defender for clubs like Nancy and Valenciennes, has been advocating for the rights of footballers in Qatar and criticizing the working conditions in the country. In an interview, he expressed concern about the situation of immigrant workers and the Kafala system, which ties workers to their employers, potentially restricting their freedom of movement.

Ouaddou has taken the matter to FIFA courts and believes that the entire system needs to be called into question. He advises players against moving to Qatar and highlights the importance of respecting freedom of movement, calling for a ban on such practices in the 21st century.

While acknowledging the success of Qatar in building its image with significant investments, Ouaddou is critical of the treatment of workers and the lack of respect for contractual agreements. He emphasizes that his concern is not against Qatar as a whole but aims to bring attention to the issues faced by footballers and immigrant workers in the country.
