Abderrazak Hamdallah, the Moroccan forward for the Al-Ittihad football team, has been named the “Star of the Round” by “Al Riyadh” following each week of the Saudi “Roshn” League, based on nominations from a select group of Saudi and Arab coaches.
Hamdallah played a pivotal role in securing his team’s victory over Riyadh on Sunday in the twentieth round by scoring two goals, bringing his tally for the current season to 13 goals.
This performance continues to put pressure on those ahead of him in the race for the top scorer title, namely Cristiano Ronaldo of Al-Nassr, Aleksandar Mitrović of Al-Hilal, and Georges-Kévin Nkoudou of Dhamk.
Among the eight coaches surveyed by “Al Riyadh,” six named Hamdallah as the star of the round.
However, one coach preferred Serbian striker Aleksandar Mitrović of Al-Hilal, while another chose Nigerian forward Anthony Nwakaeme of Al-Fayha.
