Ramadan Sobhi and Abderrahmane Meziane have finished as joint top assist providers in the 2024–25 CAF Champions League, capping off a season where creativity and precision proved vital across the continent’s top club competition.
Sobhi, instrumental in Pyramids FC’s historic first Champions League triumph, tallied five assists over 10 appearances.
The Egyptian forward, though inconsistent in terms of appearances, delivered key moments of vision and timing that helped guide his side through to the title.
Despite featuring in only half of Pyramids’ matches, his contribution was enough to keep him atop the assist charts.
“We are proud of what we have achieved,” Sobhi said in the aftermath of the club’s landmark victory. “It’s an incredible feeling to make history with this team.”
While Sobhi finished with a respectable assist average of 0.5 per match, Algerian playmaker Abderrahmane Meziane posted an even more impressive rate.
Despite CR Belouizdad’s early exit from the tournament, Meziane recorded five assists in just six matches, giving him a tournament-best ratio of 0.8 per game.
Meziane’s performances stood out in a brief campaign, where his technical intelligence and ability to unlock defences earned widespread praise, even as his team bowed out in the group stage.
With both players finishing level on five assists, they were followed closely by Tunisia’s Youcef Belaïli, who ended with four.
Relebohile Mofokeng (Orlando Pirates), Mostafa Fathy (Pyramids FC), and Youssef El Fahli (AS FAR Rabat) each registered three assists, rounding out the list of the competition’s top creators.
