Abdellah Haimoud: Moroccan midfielder joins KACM Marrakech on free transfer

Moroccan midfielder Abdellah Haimoud has joined KACM Marrakech on a free transfer from Libyan Premier League side Al-Ta’awon. The 25-year-old central midfielder has signed a contract with the Botola Pro Inwi club until 30 June 2028.

Casablanca-born Haimoud, who is right-footed and stands at 1.72m, returns to Moroccan football after a spell in Libya, where he made 12 league appearances for Al-Ta’awon, registering one assist. His move strengthens KACM’s midfield options ahead of the new domestic campaign and continental commitments.

Haimoud has already built a strong reputation in Moroccan football through his performances in the Botola Pro Inwi, where he has made 67 appearances, scoring three goals and providing five assists. Across those league matches he has accumulated more than 3,000 minutes, underlining his experience at the top level in his home country.

He also brings significant African competition experience, having played 23 times in the CAF Champions League and featured in the African Football League. That exposure to high-intensity continental fixtures adds further depth to KACM Marrakech’s squad profile.

At international club level, Haimoud has collected major honours, winning the CAF Champions League once and lifting the Moroccan league title twice, all with Wydad Casablanca in the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons. His current market value is listed at €300,000, matching the peak of his career to date.

Haimoud’s switch from Al-Ta’awon to KACM Marrakech is confirmed as a permanent free transfer, with the midfielder now tied to the Moroccan club until the summer of 2028.
