Abdellah Cherrad: Moroccan midfielder joins Widad Temara on free transfer from JS Soualem

Moroccan midfielder Abdellah Cherrad has joined Botola Pro Inwi side Widad Temara on a free transfer from JS Soualem. The 25-year-old central midfielder has signed a deal running until 30 June 2028, committing his long-term future to the club.

Born in Rabat on 5 March 2001, Cherrad moves to Temara after his spell with fellow Moroccan outfit JS Soualem. His arrival strengthens the centre of the pitch for Widad Temara, with the club opting for a long contract to secure his peak years.

Cherrad, who stands at 1.72m, is primarily deployed as a central midfielder and is comfortable operating in the heart of the side. His move keeps him in Moroccan football, but marks a fresh chapter as he links up with a new squad and coaching staff in the country’s top flight.

Having completed the switch on 26 July 2026, Cherrad is now tied to Widad Temara for the next two seasons beyond the current campaign under the terms of his contract to 2028.
