Abdelilah Mouatassim: Morocco striker joins Al-Sharq Club on free transfer
Morocco centre-forward Abdelilah Mouatassim has joined Saudi Arabian club Al-Sharq Club from USM Oujda on a free transfer.
The 26-year-old completed the move on 1 August 2026 and has signed a contract running until 30 June 2027. Mouatassim becomes an Al-Sharq player after spending the previous part of his career in Moroccan football.
Mouatassim made three appearances in the Coupe du Trone Marocaine before leaving USM Oujda, scoring once and playing 199 minutes in the competition. He also featured in the Excellence Cup during his time with the club.
The forward joined USM Oujda from KACM Marrakech in January 2025, also on a free transfer. His spell in Marrakech followed a move from Wafa Driouch in August 2024, while he had previously played for El-Mansour.
Born in Marrakech on 22 January 2000, Mouatassim stands 1.77 metres tall and is right-footed. He operates primarily as a centre-forward, giving Al-Sharq a new attacking option following his move to Saudi Arabia.
Mouatassim began his senior career with KACM Marrakech after progressing from KAC Marrakech’s youth set-up. He later represented El-Mansour and Wafa Driouch before returning to KACM Marrakech and subsequently moving to USM Oujda.
The transfer extends a sequence of moves completed without a fee for the Moroccan striker, who has now changed clubs several times during his domestic career. His latest switch is his first recorded move to Al-Sharq Club.
Al-Sharq Club have secured Abdelilah Mouatassim’s services until the end of June 2027.
