Abdel Karim Mostafa heads to UAE to complete Sharjah transfer

Abdel Karim Mostafa is travelling to the United Arab Emirates to complete his move from Ismaily to Sharjah, with the transfer expected to be formally announced after he undergoes a medical.

The 23-year-old left-back has travelled to the UAE to finalise the remaining details of the deal and is expected to sign his contract once the medical examination has been completed.

Mostafa made the journey alongside his agent, Maher Noufal, who completed the agreement between the two clubs in co-operation with fellow players’ agent Samer Salama.

FilGoal.com understands that Sharjah have reached a preliminary agreement with Ismaily to sign Mostafa for $750,000, with the Egyptian club also entitled to 20% of any future sale.

The player will contribute $100,000 towards the overall value of the transfer. That amount will be deducted from his salary over the course of two seasons.

Mostafa has also waived the remainder of the money owed to him by Ismaily as part of the move.

The transfer will provide Mostafa with his first opportunity to play abroad after two-and-a-half seasons with Ismaily. He joined the Egyptian club from Misr El-Makkasa in January 2024.

Since arriving at Ismaily, the defender has made 35 appearances in all competitions. Those matches comprise 28 league games, six in the League Cup and one Egyptian Cup appearance.

Mostafa has scored five goals during that time, including three in the league and two in the League Cup.

Ismaily were relegated to the Professional League after finishing bottom of the league during the 2025-26 season. The club’s relegation was confirmed after they ended the campaign in last place.

Mostafa’s move to Sharjah remains subject to the completion of the medical and the signing of the final documentation. Once those steps are concluded, Sharjah are expected to announce the transfer officially.
