A new era dawns as the 2025/26 Egyptian Premier League final lineup is confirmed
The 2025/26 Egyptian Premier League lineup is complete, and for the first time ever, Ismailia Electricity will take part in the top flight.
Their third-place finish in the Second Division sealed their promotion, joining Arab Contractors and Wadi Degla in rounding out the league’s roster. The Clubs Association has also confirmed that no teams will be relegated this season, allowing for a smooth transition into a revamped league structure.
This season brings a fresh format: the first stage will follow the traditional round-robin format. After that, the league will split into two decisive groups. Seven teams will compete for the title, while 14 teams will battle to avoid relegation, with four sides ultimately dropping down.
In other developments, the Egyptian Football Association has appointed Helmy Toulan as head coach for the national team ahead of the Arab Cup in Qatar this December. He’ll be supported by Ahmed Hassan, Mamdouh Elmohamady, Mohamed Nour, and Essam El-Hadary. El-Hadary will also oversee goalkeeping across national teams, except the senior squad.
