RajRaja Casablanca have reportedly opened negotiations to sign Moroccan defender Yahia Attiyat Allah as they look to reinforce their squad during the current winter transfer window.
The experienced left-back, who previously featured for Wydad Athletic Club, is currently on the books of Russian side Sochi.
Sources indicate that Raja president Jawad Ziyat has made a strong financial proposal in an effort to convince Attiyat Allah to return to Moroccan football. The offer is said to be worth around $500,000, underlining the club’s determination to secure his services.
Raja’s interest in the defender is partly driven by the possibility of Youssef Belamri leaving the club, with the player reportedly attracting interest from Egyptian giants Al Ahly.
As a result, Attiyat Allah has emerged as a top priority for the Green Eagles as they seek to strengthen their defensive options ahead of the second half of the season.
Attiyat Allah remains a familiar name in Moroccan football, having enjoyed a highly successful spell with Wydad Athletic Club. He played a key role in Wydad’s triumph in the 2022 CAF Champions League and established himself as one of the most reliable full-backs in the region during his time with the club.
Between 2020 and 2023, the defender made 166 appearances for Wydad, scoring 11 goals and providing 23 assists, an impressive return for a player operating primarily from the back.
His performances earned him a move abroad, with Attiyat Allah spending last season on loan at Al Ahly of Egypt.
During his loan spell in Cairo, he featured in 22 matches, registering one goal and three assists. Although his performances were considered below expectations at the Egyptian giants, his experience and pedigree continue to attract interest back home, with Raja Casablanca now leading the chase for his signature.
