The Ministry of Youth and Sports announced on Friday, through a statement posted on its official Facebook page, the arrival of the Chinese delegation tasked with completing the project to prepare the Olympic Stadium in Al-Menzah.
Minister of Youth and Sports Kamal Daqish presided over a working session today in the presence of the Minister’s Office Director, Shukri Ben Hassan, and a Chinese delegation led by Yuan Lijie, Head of the Chinese Embassy’s Business Affairs, and Economic Advisor Liang Gang, along with a group of specialized architectural engineers in sports architecture led by Du Yanqing.
During the meeting, Minister Kamal Daqish emphasized the deep bilateral cooperation between the two countries in the fields of youth and sports, highlighting previous collaborations such as the cultural and sports centers for youth in Al-Menzah Sixth and Ben Arous.
Kamal Daqish expressed the mutual desire to strengthen bilateral relations and elevate them to the level of strategic partnership, emphasizing the importance of providing necessary support to complete the rehabilitation project of the Olympic Stadium in Al-Menzah, which represents a memory for Tunisians and a sporting monument established in 1967.
On the Chinese side, the Acting Head of the Chinese Embassy expressed readiness to cooperate in this project and facilitate procedures, affirming the joint will to elevate these bilateral relations to the highest levels by creating new cooperation opportunities in the service of the “friendly peoples,” especially as Tunisia and China celebrate the 60th anniversary of their diplomatic relations.
