Giannelli Imbula, who has had an inconsistent season with Olympique de Marseille, has been selected by France U21 coach Willy Sagnol for the Espoirs group. The midfielder, who previously played for Guingamp, has not been part of the national setup since October due to concerns over his behavior during a match against Iceland, which France won 4-3.
In addition to Imbula, three other Marseille players have been included in the pre-list: Benjamin Mendy, Florian Thauvin, and Mario Lemina.
