Carlos Kameni, who joined Malaga from Espanyol Barcelona in 2011, has faced a frustrating spell in Andalusia. Despite his efforts, the Cameroonian goalkeeper has yet to secure a win for his team. Moreover, his situation took a downturn this season as he has not played a single minute in La Liga. In a candid interview with Radio Marca, Kameni expressed his discontent, feeling betrayed by his club.
He revealed, “I respected the management’s decision, but they allowed me to see a way out, only to shut the door immediately after. The money I’ve received so far, I earned it; it wasn’t given to me. If I leave, I won’t demand compensation for the remaining two years of my contract, during which I haven’t even played. We will negotiate, but I won’t accept a pay cut because that goes against the terms of my contract, and this situation is not of my making.”
