As previously announced, Papy Djilobodji, the Senegalese defender for FC Nantes, faced consequences for his aggressive actions against Toulouse’s Wissam Ben Yedder. Following his exclusion from the match, Djilobodji’s punishment has now been determined by the Disciplinary Commission of the LFP.
The commission has decided to impose a three-match suspension on Djilobodji, despite only two matches remaining in the current season. This means he will miss the upcoming games against Saint-Etienne and Bastia, as well as the first match of the 2014-2015 season.
Djilobodji’s suspension stems from his elbowing of Ben Yedder, which occurred immediately after Ben Yedder scored an equalizing goal and attempted to quickly restart the game.
