After a setback against Sanga Balende in the 3rd day of the play-offs in the Democratic Republic of Congo championship, TP Mazembe fell from their leading position. However, they swiftly rebounded and reasserted their dominance by securing a 4-0 victory in a rematch against the same opponent during the 4th day.
Solomon Asante netted two goals, with Mbwana Aly Samata adding another to the tally.
Despite this triumph, Patrice Carteron’s side remains two points behind their arch-rivals AS Vita Club, who secured a 2-0 victory against Don Bosco. AS Vita Club currently leads the standings with nine points, leaving TP Mazembe in pursuit.
