Steve Mandanda, aged 29 and with 35 starts in Ligue 1 this season, has once again been nominated for the UNFP Trophy for the best goalkeeper of the season. The Marseille goalkeeper expressed his surprise at this nomination.

“Honestly, at this stage, I was really surprised to be among the final four,” he admitted in comments reported by L’Equipe. “Nothing is guaranteed. Others would have deserved to be there as well.”
