Ricardo Antonio La Volpe Guarchoni, the Argentine coach of the Mexican club Chivas de Guadalajara, has been swiftly dismissed from his position after less than four weeks in charge. The club announced his termination due to “inappropriate conduct towards a colleague.” Jorge Vergara, the team owner, expressed the difficulty of the decision, stating that the incident leading to La Volpe’s dismissal was “very strong, very unpleasant.” While details of the incident were not provided, it was reported that a complaint for sexual harassment was filed, according to the daily El Universal. La Volpe, aged 62, was appointed as head of the club on April 2, replacing José Luis Real, who was sacked for inadequate results.
