Diafra Sakho is attracting attention from various clubs after an impressive season with Metz in Ligue 2. The Senegalese striker, who emerged as the second top scorer in the league with 19 goals, played a significant role in Metz’s promotion to Ligue 1.
Marseille is reportedly interested in acquiring Sakho for the upcoming season, as they seek to strengthen their attacking options, particularly in the absence of Gignac.
Additionally, top European clubs like Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, and Liverpool have shown interest in Sakho due to his goal-scoring prowess and performances against opposing teams. Wigan, currently vying for promotion to the Premier League, also sent their recruitment manager to scout Sakho closely.
Trabzonspor from the Turkish Süper Lig has expressed interest as well, with reports suggesting they are willing to offer €2 million for Sakho. However, Metz is holding out for a higher fee, with expectations set at around €5 million.
