Jerome Boateng, the German defender of Ghanaian origin, reflected on the match, acknowledging the team’s shortcomings.
“We completely missed our game. I believe it’s our worst match of the season. After the first leg, we were quite confident and prepared to challenge Real Madrid fiercely. However, Carlo Ancelotti’s side outplayed us completely and gave us a footballing lesson. They didn’t create many chances but were highly efficient in front of goal. Now, we’re eliminated, and we must analyze this defeat to avoid repeating the same mistakes in the future.”
