“The list of players who will participate in the World Cup is in my head. I will announce the selected players very soon,” he affirmed.
Regarding the potential return of former players Karim Ziani and Nadir Belhadj to the squad, Halilhodzic provided clear responses.
“Belhadj himself decided to leave the selection. He’s a player that I really like, and I know he’s having an extraordinary season in the Qatari championship, but I’ll say it again, it’s not me who ruled him out. His return to the selection is very complicated,” he explained.
“As for Karim Ziani, you need to know that I have no problem with him. His return to the selection? Yes, why not, but right now, let me say that I have much more important things to do,” he concluded.
