Marcel Desailly, after expressing interest in coaching the Vietnamese national team following the departure of their previous coach, faced a setback as he did not receive a call from the Vietnamese Federation.
The Federation stated that they consider important criteria such as working conditions, experience, and reputation when evaluating potential candidates. In Desailly’s case, they decided not to consider his candidacy further because his conditions did not meet their requirements.
Sources close to the matter revealed that salary conditions were a significant obstacle to Desailly’s candidacy, along with his lack of coaching experience.
