The African countries have been drawn into their respective groups for the CAN 2015 qualifiers, with the draw conducted in Cairo, Egypt.
Here are the groups and some key matchups:
Group A: Nigeria, South Africa, Sudan, Namibia
Group B: Mali, Algeria, Ethiopia, Sao Tome and Principe
Group C: Burkina Faso, Angola, Gabon, Liberia
Group D: Ivory Coast, Cameroon, DR Congo, Swaziland
Group E: Ghana, Togo, Guinea, Madagascar
Group F: Zambia, Cape Verde, Niger, Tanzania
Group G: Tunisia, Egypt, Senegal, Burundi
Before the group draw, CAF conducted the drawing of rounds 1 and 2 of the preliminaries for accession to the groups.
The teams will compete in each group in a round-robin format between September 5 and November 19, 2014.
Key Dates of the qualifiers:
Day 1: September 5 or 6, 2014
Day 2: September 10, 2014
Day 3: October 10 or 11, 2014
Day 4: October 15, 2014
Day 5: November 14 or 15, 2014
Day 6: November 19, 2014
