Djibril Cissé will be absent from the Ligue 1 match between Bastia and Lyon this Sunday due to disciplinary action taken by his club. The French striker arrived late for the team’s last training session, leading to his exclusion from the match.
Cissé explained that he was delayed because he had forgotten his driving license at home and had to wait for his girlfriend to bring it to him. During this time, he was stopped by police officers on his way to training. Despite his efforts to explain the situation, he arrived at the training center forty minutes late.
Bastia’s coach, Frédéric Hantz, has a strict rule regarding tardiness, and Cissé’s late arrival exceeded the allowed limit of thirty minutes before a match. As a result, he was not selected to participate in the upcoming game.
