On his Instagram account, Adebayor shared a photo of himself adorned in the colors of Togo, replicating a gesture reminiscent of a soldier’s salute. Accompanying the image was the motto of Togo: Work-Freedom-Homeland.
Despite his international commitments, Adebayor remains connected to his roots and took the opportunity to extend his wishes to his fellow countrymen on Independence Day. He also played a crucial role for his club, contributing with an assist in Tottenham’s victory against Stoke City.
