Yaya Touré’s injury, sustained a few weeks ago against Liverpool, has sparked concerns among football fans in Ivory Coast, especially regarding his availability for the upcoming World Cup. Even the Ivorian President, Alassane Ouattara, expressed his worry and personally reached out to inquire about Touré’s health. Sport-ivoire reported that Touré assured the head of state of his recovery and pledged to join the Elephants in Brazil for the tournament.
According to Manuel Pellegrini, the manager of Manchester City, Touré is expected to make his return to action this weekend in the Premier League match against Crystal Palace.
