The Euro 2016 steering committee convened at the headquarters of the French Football Federation on Friday, as announced by Africa Top Sports on Thursday. The purpose of this meeting was to unveil the tournament schedule, which is scheduled to take place from June 10 to July 10, 2016, and to determine the match locations for games scheduled at 3 p.m., 6 p.m., and 9 p.m. local time.

For the 51 matches slated for the event, several measures were implemented, including ensuring that all teams played their group matches in three different stadiums. The Stade de France will host the majority, with seven matches scheduled, including the opening match (featuring France) and the final. Each city will host at least four matches for this expanded Euro, which will include 24 teams for the first time. These host cities include Lens, Toulouse, Nice, and Saint-Étienne. Bordeaux and Paris (Parc des Princes) will host five matches each.

The semi-finals are set to take place in Lyon and Marseille, while the quarter-finals will be held in Bordeaux, Lille, Marseille, and at the Stade de France.

The French national team, Les Bleus, will commence their campaign in Saint-Denis, followed by matches in Marseille and Lille to complete the group stage. If they finish atop their group, they will play their round of 16 match in Lyon. However, if they finish second, they will play in Saint-Étienne.
