Frédéric Hantz, the coach of Bastia, had to prepare for the 18th day of French Ligue 1 without the Algerian international Fethi Harek. Harek suffered an injury during Bastia’s home defeat against Marseille in the 17th day match. Despite the setback, Harek was part of the list of 40 pre-selected for the CAN 2013 by Algeria’s coach Vahid Halilhodzic. The 30-year-old defender aspired to make the final cut of 23 players for the continental tournament scheduled for January 19 to February 10, 2013, in South Africa.
