According to reports from the Belgian press on Thursday, the country of Eden Hazard has made the decision to submit its application to UEFA, the governing body of European football, to host Euro 2020. This decision comes just 24 hours before the deadline for submitting applications, which is set for Friday.
Unlike Euro 2016, which took place solely in France, Euro 2020 will have a unique format with matches being held in 13 European cities across 13 different countries.
The designated cities for hosting Euro 2020 matches will be officially announced next September. The Belgian Football Federation is aiming to host four matches, including the opening match, on its home soil.
