It’s a positive development for Abou Diaby and Arsenal fans. After suffering a cruciate ligament rupture in March 2013, the 27-year-old Franco-Ivorian midfielder resumed full training last Thursday, as reported by Africa Top Sports. Even more encouraging, Diaby made his comeback on the pitch this Tuesday evening with the Arsenal reserve team against Chelsea’s reserve team.
Starting in the lineup, the French international midfielder played the entire first half before being substituted at halftime to avoid any risks.
This return to action is undoubtedly good news for Arsenal supporters as the season comes to an end.
