Mariano Barreto has officially been appointed as the coach of the Ethiopian national team, following weeks of speculation. The news was confirmed on Tuesday, as reported by Afrik-foot.
The Portuguese coach reached an agreement with the Ethiopian Football Federation for the position and signed a two-season contract. He will receive a monthly salary of 18,000 dollars for his role.
Barreto takes over from Sewnet Bishaw, who was dismissed from his position in February after CHAN 2014.
