Relations between Roberto Mancini and Samir Nasri were already strained, according to the former Manchester City coach. Mancini criticized Nasri’s attitude both in matches and during training sessions.
Mancini highlighted Nasri’s incredible talent but expressed disappointment in his lackluster performances. He lamented Nasri’s failure to consistently give his best effort on the field, despite possessing world-class qualities.
“It really hurts my heart. I had done everything for him to come, and he was satisfied with the minimum,” Mancini explained in an interview with So Foot Junior.
He further remarked, “He is a player who has the qualities not only to be a good player but to be a world-class player. What a shame, he won’t even play in the World Cup…”
