Percy Tau, claimed the esteemed 2023 Men’s Interclub Player of the Year award during the prestigious CAF Awards ceremony hosted in Morocco.

Tau’s remarkable season with Al Ahly, both domestically in Egypt and across the continent, cemented his title as the Men’s Interclub Player of the Year for 2023.

The revered “Lion of the Judah Tribune,” as he is affectionately known, played a pivotal role in guiding the Egyptian giants to their 43rd Egyptian championship victory.

The 29-year-old South African standout proved instrumental in Al Ahly’s journey to clinch their 11th CAF Champions League title, displaying exceptional prowess and leadership on the field.

His contributions were pivotal in guiding the team to a remarkable semi-final finish in the African Football League, further underlining his influence and impact on the continent’s football stage.

In a historic night celebrating outstanding talent across both genders, the Women’s Interclub Player of the Year 2023 was awarded to Fatima Tagnaout.

The Moroccan athlete’s exceptional leadership steered AS FAR to a commendable third-place finish in the CAF Women’s Champions League, earning her recognition in the distinguished eleven of this year’s African C1.
