Olympique Lyonnais is set to face PSG in the League Cup final on Saturday. Despite their recent victory over the Parisian club, Lyon is not considered the favorites for the final. They will need to rise above themselves to overcome PSG, who are likely to be highly motivated after two consecutive defeats.
Samuel Umtiti, speaking to 20minutes, acknowledges the challenge ahead: “Saturday will be a completely different match. It promises to be much more difficult, as PSG, coming off two consecutive defeats, will be even more determined to win. I think they will be fired up by their coach this week.”
Umtiti also discussed the threat posed by PSG’s strikers, mentioning the differences between Edinson Cavani and Zlatan Ibrahimovic: “Cavani is different from Zlatan in terms of his runs. His movements are sharp, always looking to get behind our defense at the last moment. Ibrahimovic, on the other hand, is stronger. He can provide the final pass or finish himself. It’s always tough to mark him. They are both great attackers, but I don’t fear them. On the contrary, facing players of this caliber gives me pleasure because it allows me to progress.”
