Manchester City faced a disappointing performance in the Premier League on Tuesday against Sunderland. Despite opening the scoring early in the 2nd minute through Fernandinho, they struggled to maintain control of the game. Sunderland managed to equalize and then take the lead with goals from Wickham in the 73rd and 83rd minutes.
Manchester City’s hopes of closing the gap on Liverpool and Chelsea were dashed, especially with the absence of Yaya Touré, who was sidelined for two weeks. However, they managed to salvage a point with a late equalizer from Nasri.
