Jean Jacques Eydelie’s tenure at the helm of Africa Sports in Abidjan has come to an abrupt end after only a few weeks. The French coach’s departure was decided by the leadership of the prominent football club in the Ivorian capital following a string of disappointing results.
Eydelie’s brief stint saw the team suffer a significant defeat against JCAT during the 19th day of the national championship, marking the fourth loss in six matches under his guidance.
His departure was attributed to inadequate results, prompting the decision-makers to opt for a change. Eydelie will be replaced by the duo of Georges Lignon and Eugène Beugré Yago, both former stalwarts of the Aiglons.
