In the fourth day of the Play-offs in the Belgian championship, Anderlecht and Zulte Waregem couldn’t break the deadlock last Tuesday, ending in a goalless draw. Despite displaying dominance throughout the game, Anderlecht’s imprecision in the final moments prevented them from converting their opportunities into goals.
Gohi Bi Cyriac, who had scored three goals in two previous matches, was unable to find the net this time. The Ivorian striker acknowledged feeling tired but remained optimistic. “I’m exhausted. It was a tough match against a well-organized Zulte Waregem side. We struggled to impose our style of play. We pressed high, but they defended well,” said Cyriac. He noted that Zulte Waregem boasts the best defense in the Play-offs 1, making it a challenging encounter. Cyriac also credited the opposing goalkeeper for his time-wasting tactics and crucial saves.
Looking ahead to the next match against Genk, Cyriac emphasized the importance of not giving up. “We must stay determined. The upcoming match is crucial. Our title hopes are still alive,” he stated.
