During a press conference held in Lomé, the association of football coaches of Togo announced their support for a local candidacy for the position of head coach for the Togolese national team, the Eperviers. President of the association, Abraw Samer, emphasized the rich history of talented coaches in Togo, expressing a desire to maintain this tradition by selecting a local candidate.
In response to the call for applications from the Togolese Football Federation, several local coaches submitted their files to succeed Didier Six. In a gesture of solidarity, two coaches, Bawa Bako and Abraw Samer, withdrew their candidacies to support another experienced local trainer who has been involved with the Eperviers for years.
The composition of the technical committee tasked with evaluating the application files was also revealed:
- Mr. Salokoffi Kodjo, national director of sports and leisure;
- Mr. Manou Mensah Adjiwanou, head of sports and leisure inspection, cabinet attaché at the Ministry of Sports and Leisure;
- Mr. Koudjonou Yawo Midodji, assistant PE teacher, football coach/trainer;
- Mr. Bédinadé Biréani Essohana, head of the budgetary studies division at the budgets department;
- Mr. Lengue Yemboite, deputy director of the civil service;
- Mr. Djahlin Kokou Adjé, labor, employment, and social security inspector;
- Mr. Améyi Gabriel; President of the executive board of the FTF;
- Mr. Degbovi Koffi, member;
- Mr. Boukpessi Babanassim, member;
- Mr. Elitsa Koadjo Lanou, former DTN of the FTF
