Despite a 3-1 defeat to PSG in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final on Wednesday evening, Chelsea and José Mourinho remain resolute.
Mourinho emphasized that there are still 90 minutes left to play and that his team will give their all to score in the return leg and secure qualification for the next stage of the competition.
“After losing 3-1, there’s no room for defensive strategies. We have to attack and aim to win by scores like 2-0, 3-1, or 4-1. We must approach the game with the belief that it’s achievable. While PSG may feel confident, they also know it’s not over,” Mourinho stated.
Chelsea famously overturned a 3-1 deficit against Napoli in 2012 to qualify, albeit without Mourinho at the helm.
